Have you ever been sitting at home, watching a talk show, wishing that you were there getting all that free stuff that they were giving away? Or else wishing that you could be there to watch your favorite singer perform live on that talk show? I know I have. Every year when Oprah’s Favorite Things show comes on I just wish to be in that audience taking home thousands of dollars of merchandise. But instead here I am sitting at home. So for today’s item: You are to be part of the audience of a talk show.
Now you may not be so lucky to be part of the audience of Oprah’s Favorite Things, since tickets for her show are sold out for years to come and you never know when her Favorite Things show will happen. But there are many other talk shows that you can be in the audience of and get free stuff. For example Ellen Degeneres gives away tons of stuff; one time she even gave away a cruise to each member of the audience.
Even if the time that you go be part of the audience they don’t give away anything, just the chance to be in the audience would be something memorable.
The upcoming generation has been labeled as lazy, selfish and narcissistic. But is it really only the upcoming generation that these labels apply to? I think that all generations have been lazy, selfish and narcissistic. However, at the same time I have met lots of people from all generations who do not possess these characteristics. But instead they help others, try to do what’s best for the world and are always looking for something to do. I think that more of us need to strive to be these people, the unselfish people.
For today’s item you are to do something for someone else. Prove the world wrong and show that people can do something good. Maybe buy a homeless person a hamburger, help an elderly person across the street, let your imagination guide you.
Even the littlest acts of kindness can travel far. As I was watching Oprah’s Big Give on Sunday I was truly inspired to do something for someone else and I encourage you to do the same.
One of the funnest things that I have ever done was go on a road trip with my friends, which is what today’s item is. If you’re thinking that it’s not for you, think again. Even Oprah went on one.
It doesn’t matter if it’s a super long road trip or one of the shorter end. Bu it has to be more than an hour on the road. A real road trip is where you get in the car with your sleeping gear and head onto the road for an extended period of time.
